NHS England employs thousands of people, and as they are hired, change roles, promoted, or leave the organisation, it’s important that all their associated records are keep up to date. Yet the mainframe-based system for achieving authorisation for changes in the workforce (known as the Establishment) was unfriendly, time-consuming, and unreliable.
Places for People SharePoint EDRMS, case management and automated classification of sensitive content
Places for People had a need to replace an ageing EDRMS system containing approximately 9 million documents and over 3.5tb of data. The aim was to create a flexible system to enable workflow and application integration that provided a secure collaboration in order to collate and manage content; within both internal and intra-organisational team and projects.
Brent Council Digital Mailroom
In the spring of 2012 the Brent Council instigated a range of projects under their ‘One Council’ initiative to drive down operating costs, improve productivity and increase standards of service. A central part of the initiative was to consolidate a number of the Council’s offices into one new Civic Centre where a ‘paper-light’ approach is being adopted in order to minimise the amount of paper that is handled, distributed and stored.

The Canal & River Trust is a Charity that cares for the 2,200 mile network of canals and rivers in England and Wales.
