New Features in Kofax Capture 9.0

Remote Site High Availability – Automatic fail over for remote site licensing. Improves reliability and business continuity.

Additional Language Support – Support for Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Automatic Customization Deployment – Easily deploy and install customizations to stations and remote sites. Minimizes configuration and deployment costs.

MSI Based Installer – Use either setup.exe installer or new .MSI based installer. Leverages industry standards and enables use of preferred deployment option.

Multiple Administration Module Users – Allow multiple users to simultaneously access the Administration module. Minimizes configuration and deployment costs.

PDF Versioning- Configure the PDF output format version. Minimizes configuration and deployment costs, and supports the use of advanced features by processes after Kofax Capture.

Report Viewer on Servers – Allows the use of Report Viewer on servers. Minimizes configuration and deployment costs.

Batch Class Update – Update the batch class for current batches. Provides flexibility to correct issues found in production requiring batch class changes without rescanning the batch. Minimizes operational costs.

.NET Versions of Database and Text Export Connectors – Database and text export connectors are .NET based. Minimizes configuration and deployment costs, provides Unicode support for globalization.

Document Routing – Custom module APIs to split a batch into sub-batches. Minimizes operational costs through operator specialization, and enables parallel processing of large batches.

Windows 7 Support – Support for the latest Microsoft operating system.

Kofax Monitor Support – Kofax Monitor software provides real-time performance monitoring and metrics on the operational health of your capture system

Kofax Transform 2009

The annual Transform Event is Kofax’s showcase event in EMEA and is mirrored in the USA at about the same time. In the past this was very much a partner event but the focus has changed to make it very much more customer friendly!

From Transform 2009, the most significant announcements around the Kofax product suite have come about through the aquisition of 170 Systems Inc and Opti Invoice. These have greatly added to the OOTB functionality for integrated invoice processing (see the latest announcements about Kofax Transformation Modules ver 4.5). This means we (Deltascheme) will need be able to implement invoice processing solutions faster and with less integration work.

Transform 2009 enables customers and partners to learn and network with their peers and the trusted capture experts of Kofax. Attendees will

learn how to determine and demonstrate the real ROI of information capture;
discover practical strategies for implementing, improving and expanding capture in their organization; and

New Capabilities

The KTM 4.5 release includes a set of new features and tools designed specifically to address invoice processing needs. These features will enhance the invoice extraction capabilities of the product and will reduce deployment costs for such projects. Enhancements include..

Extraction of invoice line items using fuzzy matching to purchase orders in the ERP system. Invoices that match closely can be posted to the ERP system without the need for human intervention, allowing organizations to process invoices more quickly and at lower cost.
Improvements to invoice extraction technology to increase the amount of data that is extracted automatically, reducing labour costs associated with manual data entry.
