The SharePoint platform has evolved considerably since the initial release of SharePoint 2003. No longer does SharePoint provide just a portal tool, it is now being deployed for solutions such as corporate Document and Records Management . Figures from AIIM’s Industry Watch suggest that almost 50% of organisations using SharePoint, use it for this with many more planning to do so in the future.
