AIIM Roadshow 2009
This year the Roadshow was yet again dominated by one product set, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 with over 52% of all the organisations that attended the event stating that they are already using SharePoint compared with 29% last year (AiiM). In addition over 10% of the organisations that attended stated that they have already installed SharePoint as their Enterprise Content Management system.
Deltascheme were asked by Microsoft and AiiM to deliver the keynote speech each morning, “Microsoft SharePoint: how it fits within the ECM spectrumâ€, which provided an introduction to SharePoint, its functionality, strengths & weaknesses, what organisations have, are & are now starting to use SharePoint for and finally, where Microsoft may be taking the product with the next release which is due in 2010. In addition Deltascheme, working with our customers and partners, delivered a number of round table discussions on ‘Process optimisation with simple document workflows’, ‘Scanning and conversion strategies’ , and ‘Getting to grips with information governance’ as well as deliver case study presentations on the implementation of SharePoint and associated technologies (K2 and Kofax) and British Waterways and the Forensic Science Service.
